On January 12, 2021 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi was invited to meet with Luhut, the leader of Indonesian government cooperation with China and Minister of Coordination, in North Sumatra.
Wang Yi first expressed his condolences and condolences to Luhut on the recent crash of an Indonesian airliner. The two sides signed the Belt and Road Initiative and the “Global Ocean Fulcrum” docking cooperation plan at an early date, actively promoted the construction of major projects such as the Yawan High-Speed Railway, the “Two Parks of the Two Countries” and the “Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor”, strengthened the cooperation in tourism, agriculture, vocational education and training, and created a new growth point for digital economic cooperation, and provided for the economies of the two countries. Development continues to inject strong momentum. China is willing to import more Indonesian products and is positive about expanding the scale of bilateral currency swaps.
The two sides should jointly maintain digital security and build a network security community. Before the talks, the two sides witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Cybersecurity Capacity-building and Technical Cooperation and the Memorandum on Cooperation on the “Two Parks” Project between China and Indonesia.
