January 8 The first suspects arrested in the riots of the U.S. Congress appeared in the High Court of Washington, D.C. on Thursday (7th) local time.
The prosecution asked the judge to prevent the defendants from entering Washington again, while the defendants said that they did not understand the meaning of the accusation.
According to CNN on the 7th, Judge McKenna ordered Michael Jared Amos, 38, Florida, not to enter Washington until further notice, allowing him to testify in court in the capital.
Amos was charged with illegally entering the U.S. Capitol on the 6th, violating the mayor’s curfew order, and failing to comply with the orders of the congressional police and the D.S. But Amos refused to plead guilty.
The other defendant is David Ross, 33, from Massachusetts, who is accused of illegal entry and violating the curfew after 6 p.m. But Ross refused to plead guilty.
Before the hearing was over, Ross asked the judge to explain the allegations and said that he did not understand the allegations. The judge ordered him to prohibit him from entering Washington, D.C.
At present, the preliminary trial of the Washington, D.C. High Court is advancing. The U.S. federal court and the District Court of Washington, D.C. will also hear new cases related to the riots on Thursday (7th) local time, and the trial will begin soon.
