As of 9 a.m. on 5, only 4.8 million of the 17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines that have been distributed to states have been used, accounting for 28% of the total distribution doses.

According to the data, only five states have more vaccination rates than half of the total dose of vaccine distributed to the state, including South Dakota, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Connecticut, and Idaho.
At the same time, 15 states have vaccination rates below one quarter of the distribution dose, and three of them have vaccination rates below 20%.
The vaccination of the coronavirus vaccine has been even slower in long-term care institutions such as nursing homes.
Of the 3.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines allocated to long-term care facilities, only 13 percent of the vaccines were used, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
