However, the leader of the organization was arrested by Washington police on suspicion of “damaging property” for burning the flag of a hostile stance group in another previous protest.
The incident also aroused dissatisfaction and protests from many Trump supporters, saying that it was suppressing “democracy”.
However, the vast majority of mainstream media in the United States and the West are extremely calm about this matter, and even approve of the police’s arrest of this person.
According to reports from the Washington Post and the Guardian, Enrique, the leader of the right-wing civil society organization Proud Boys, who was scheduled to launch a “democracy” march on January 6 to protest against the “injustice” suffered by Trump in the presidential election last November.
Enrique Tarrio was arrested by Washington police on suspicion of damaging property after taking the flag flying in a black American church and burning it last December.
A live video at that time showed that the flag burned by Tario and others was printed with the political slogan “Black people’s lives are also lives” – a black American political slogan to protest racism.
