The New Zealand government confirmed on January 3rd local time that all passengers from the United Kingdom or the United States to New Zealand need to be tested for COVID-19 72 hours before departure and get negative results.
The new regulations will take effect from January 15. Passengers are required to provide written test results issued by the testing agency on board, and will be quarantined for 14 days after entering the country.
The government’s relevant person said that the government is still considering similar measures for other long-distance international tourists in the future.
