Toronto, January 2 – The Royal Mounted Police of Alberta, Canada, confirmed on January 2 that a helicopter crashed in the northern part of the province on January 1, killing four people on board.
Police received a signal from the emergency location beacon transmitter of a helicopter from Birch Hills County, Alberta on the evening of the 1st. After finding the scene of the accident, the police confirmed that a Robinson R44 helicopter had crashed into the farmland.
Police said that the helicopter was privately owned, and preliminary judgment was that the four dead on board were a couple and their two children.
