French government spokesman Adar announced on January 1 that starting from Saturday, January 2, 15 French provinces will advance the start of the curfew from 20 to 18:00 to cope with the worsening epidemic there.
These 15 provinces account for 15% of the 101 provincial units in France. Adal said that the French government will evaluate the effectiveness of the measure in a week and make corresponding changes.
After a second lockdown, the French government lifted the foot ban on December 15 and replaced it with a curfew, which is imposed from 20 to 6 a.m. every day.
