The Iraqi Cabinet Office issued a statement stressing that the new variant of the novel coronavirus has the characteristics of rapid transmission. In addition to the ban on the entry of tourists from the above-mentioned countries, Iraqis will be banned from these countries, and the Iraqi Ministry of Health will adjust the list of countries as the situation develops.
In addition, the Iraqi cabinet called on people to wear masks and maintain social distancing, and asked provincial education institutions to strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures.
Meanwhile, starting from December 24, Iraq will enter a curfew again, and public places such as shopping malls and restaurants will be closed for two weeks. Except for special emergencies, all land border crossings will also be closed.
