December 21st, Biden was publicly vaccinated against the novel coronavirus. Live footage shows Biden wearing two masks that day and elbowing with a nurse after getting the vaccine.
Biden rolled up his sleeve of his left arm and was vaccinated with the first shot of a coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, according to the Christiana Hospital in Delaware.
Biden said: “I did this to prove that people should be prepared to get a vaccine when they have it. There is nothing to worry about. I look forward to getting a second injection. After the vaccination, Biden bumped his elbow with the nurse Tybe Mays, who was in charge of the vaccination, to thank him.
Biden, 78, has said several times before that if Fauci suggested a vaccine, he would be vaccinated. In an interview last week, Fauci suggested that Biden get the vaccine as soon as possible. Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, was also vaccinated on the same day.
Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine requires two doses. About three weeks after the first dose, the vaccinated will receive a second dose.
