The seemingly inadvertent details actually reveal other meaningful wind direction.
The unusual 2020 is coming to a close, but just this past weekend, at least four shocking things have happened in the world.
Of course, this is all personal judgment. But some details, carefully understood, still make people take a breath.
Incident one, the U.S. Department of Defense suddenly stopped handing over.
Suddenly, not only the Biden team, but also the Pentagon interior are said to be shocked.
Because Acting Defense Secretary Miller suddenly ordered that the handover with Biden’s team be cancelled. That means Biden is again deprived of the right to watch U.S. military briefings.
Miller explained that this was agreed by both the Department of Defense and the Biden team to be suspended during the holiday.
But the key is that this is not a weekend problem. Next is the Christmas holiday in the United States, and the empty window period may last until next year.
More crucially, the Biden team immediately issued a statement: there is no mutually agreed problem at all, which is completely a Pentagon problem, and such interruption will threaten the national security of the United States.
Considering that Miller is a close confidant of Trump, it is not clear what the order was suddenly issued. But U.S. media revealed that Miller’s directive shocked all Defense Department officials and described it as the worst hostile and distrustful release by the Trump administration against Biden’s team so far.
What exactly does the Trump administration want to do if the army is not cooperating?
Don’t forget, Flynn, a former national security adviser who has just been amnestyed by Trump, recently made a suggestion that Trump should “sull the Constitution”, issue martial law, and allow the U.S. military to supervise the holding of new “free and fair federal elections”.
Just saw it, Biden obviously can’t sit still, tweeting: Let me make this clear, the United States of America has always set an example for the world for a peaceful transition of power – we will do it again!
Is the United States an example?
I don’t know whether Biden has enough confidence and confidence when saying this!
Event two, London is locked down again.
Very sudden, very urgent.
But British Prime Minister Johnson did announce that London was locked down again, Britain was in the highest state of emergency, and all gatherings were suspended during Christmas. Only one day on December 25, you can gather to meet your family to celebrate.
Johnson said that the reason for ordering is that the virus is still expanding and new variants have emerged, which are more easily transmitted and 70% easier than previous viruses.
He said:
I have no choice, sorry to cancel everyone’s holiday, but this Christmas is so different, that’s the reality. As Prime Minister, it is my responsibility to make difficult but correct decisions to protect people.
We sacrifice the opportunity to meet our loved ones this Christmas in order to better protect lives and then be able to meet them better at Christmas later.
Tragedy, unprecedented tragedy!
When Wuhan was locked down, they were waiting and seeing; when Wuhan lifted the lockdown, they began to lock down the city; when China returned to normal, they began to lock down the city…
The British are suffering in pain. What’s more interesting is that Trump is still very dissatisfied. He just criticized Johnson: We won’t blockade. You do it worse than the problem itself!
Johnson, Trump is scolding you.
Event three, death continues.
The initial news was that another bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s Ghazni Province, killing 15 people.
In our turbulent neighboring country, bombing attacks are commonplace. Although they are tragic, they didn’t pay much attention to it at the beginning.
However, the subsequent report made people breathe a breath. The 15 people who died were actually children, who died in a deliberate explosion, and this explosion also took place in Taliban-controlled areas.
Who did it?
I don’t know.
But this morning, a Western media survey reported on Twitter. The report revealed that starting in December 2018, an Afghan paramilitary unit trained by the CIA, codenamed “01”, launched a series of terrorist campaigns against civilians.
In the past 10 operations, at least 51 civilians have been killed, many of whom are children, and the youngest is only 8 years old. In some military operations, CIA advisers are even involved.
This is not what I said. It’s all reported by Western media. Seeing many messages from Americans, the first feeling is that it is too shocking.
This is not to bring peace. It is completely brutal massacres and has no bottom line.
The special concern about Afghanistan is that I went to Kabul during the 2001 Afghan War. Really, a Chinese who grew up in a peaceful environment could not imagine the tragedy of the war at that time. But who knows, 20 years later, the war continues, and more children fall into a pool of blood.
No wonder at the Security Council on December 17, Geng Shuang, China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, made a speech with emotion: All criminals stationed in Afghanistan by foreign troops should be brought to justice.
But what can this do? Don’t forget, the International Criminal Court investigates American war crimes, and the American response is: Sanctions on the International Court!
Event four, Sweden is finally going to wear a mask!
I really don’t want to say more about this matter. I always feel too darkly humorous. It’s just that this black humor really makes people laugh.
You know, Sweden has always been a model for the world to pursue “herd immunity”. No matter how the neighboring countries are blockaded and quarantined, Sweden is its own way. There is neither a blockade order nor a stay-at-home order. What should everyone do?
Even if the WHO strongly recommends that countries wear masks, including Trump, the Swedish government has not recommended people to wear masks on the grounds that there is no scientific research basis.
What is the final result?
Tragedy, quite tragic!
Countries with a total population of 10 million have died more than 8,000, which is much higher than other neighboring Nordic countries. Ninety percent of the deaths are elderly.
You know, Sweden is a country that refuses to put the death penalty. Even murderers can only be sentenced to prison at most. But with such a focus on humanitarianism, the end result is that 8,000 people have lost their lives.
So much so that the King of Sweden also lamented in a television interview on the 17th that Sweden failed to “fight the epidemic”.
What should I do?
You’d better wear a mask. The Swedish government suggests that passengers on public transportation wear masks from January 7 next year in “high crowds and inability to maintain social distancing”.
Please note that this is the first time Sweden has recommended a mask. It took the whole world to wear it for more than 10 months before Sweden finally repented.
Even so, this is still a recommendation, not an order, and it will start from January 7 next year.
I really don’t know what to say.
Of course, there are many shocking things in this world.
For Chinese enterprises, the United States is still grinding all kinds of knives. This kind of practice without a bottom line is really amazing.
In Syria, Libya, Ethiopia and many other places, the war is still continuing, one bloody wind after another…
This weekend, if you don’t want to say more, just sigh briefly.
Many people know the famous saying of the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus: A man cannot fall into the same river twice. It seems that there is an English proverb that a fox cannot be caught twice by the same trap.
But in the unusual year of 2020, we see too many repeated tragedies. Some countries fell into the river for the second and third time.
There is a Turkish proverb that only fools will fall into the same pond for the second time. Unfortunately, are there few such fools around us? And often think you are the smartest and most capable…
People are doing it, and the sky is watching. Come out and fool around, you always have to pay it back. Only behind here, how many people’s blood and tears. We really don’t live in a peaceful world, but are lucky to live in a peaceful China.
Alas, in this cruel world, meanness is the pass of the mean, and nobleness is the epitaph of the noble. Look, in the gilded sky, the curved reflections of the deceased…
