The report said that earlier that day, just hours before the U.S. government faced a shutdown, the Senate passed a bill. The bill will keep the U.S.
government operating until December 18.
Congress is still working on a broader agreement that will include the fiscal year 2021 bill and funding for the government until October 1, 2021.
