Data released by the Spanish National Bureau of Statistics on December 10 showed that from March to May 2020, 32,652 people died of confirmed COVID-19 and 13,032 people died of suspected COVID-19 in the country.
During this period, a total of 45,684 people in Spain died of confirmed or suspected COVID-19.
Spain’s Ministry of Health revised the standard of COVID-19 deaths on November 4, resulting in an increase in the cumulative death toll.
According to the Western National Bureau of Statistics, the number of deaths in the country from March to May this year was 47,105 more than the same period in 2019, 97% of which were diagnosed or suspected of COVID-19.
