Serbian Prime Minister Brnabić announced on the evening of the 29th that Serbia withdrew its previous decision to expel Montenegro’s ambassador to Serbia.
“This was done after a meeting with President Vučić,” Brnabić said. Regional stability, cooperation and friendship with Montenegro are the priorities of the Serbian government and the President.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro issued a statement on the 28th that Vladimir Boržović, Serbia’s ambassador to Montenegro, “has been interfering in Montenegro’s internal affairs for a long time” and his actions and statements are inconsistent with the status of a diplomat.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro found Božović “unpopular” and asked Božović to leave Montenegro.
The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs subsequently announced the expulsion of the Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia, Tarzan Milosevic, on the basis of the principle of reciprocity.
