The UK Prime Minister appoints a Secretary of State for Health to be responsible for the vaccine work
On the 28th, the British Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Boris Johnson had decided to appoint Nadhim Zahawi as Secretary of State for Health, specifically responsible for the deployment of vaccines in the United Kingdom.
While continuing his state duties at Commerce, Nadhim Zahawi will focus on researching the deployment of the UK’s coronavirus vaccine under the leadership of the British Health Secretary Matthew Hancock. His position is tentatively scheduled to last until the summer of 2021.
