British “Guardian” reported on November 28 that members of the British Parliament stated that global giants such as Amazon and Apple should be responsible for helping to collect, recycle and repair their products in order to reduce the 155,000 tons of electronic waste discarded in the UK each year.
The Environmental Audit Committee of the British Parliament found that the United Kingdom lags behind other countries in e-waste and has failed to create a circular economy. The amount of e-waste produced in the UK ranks second in the world, after Norway.
