New Delhi, December 28 – A traffic accident occurred in the northeastern state of Assam on the 27th, killing 7 people and injuring 20.

Indian media quoted local police on the 28th to report that a bus collided head-on with a truck while driving.

Subsequently, the people at the scene and the local police rescued the people in the car from the damaged vehicle and took them to the hospital where the injured are currently being treated.

Traffic accidents occur frequently in India due to bad road conditions and drivers’ speeding, overloading and other illegal operations.

According to incomplete statistics, about 150,000 people die in traffic accidents every year in India.
