66 new confirmed cases in Seoul Eastern Detention Center, South Korea

According to a Yonhap report on January 6, South Korea’s Ministry of Justice said on the 6th that as of 8 a.m.

on the same day, there were 66 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the national education and renovation facilities compared with the previous day, with a total of 1,191 confirmed cases.

Among them, there were 1,150 detainees (including those released from prison) and 41 staff members.

The day before, Seoul’s Eastern Detention Center conducted the sixth COVID-19 survey on 338 detainees and 429 staff, of which 66 people were diagnosed with infection.
