January 6¬†According to a report by Spain’s newspaper Abesai on the 5th, 55 people in a community in the Balearic Islands in eastern Spain have been infected with the novel coronavirus, and the community has been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus on December 30, 2020.

In response, the health department stressed that the immune effect of the coronavirus vaccine will not appear until at least a week after the second vaccination.

The community reportedly found three people infected with the novel coronavirus during routine screening, and then an emergency screening was carried out. After testing, 55 of the 110 households tested positive.

At present, some infected people have been sent to different hospitals for isolation treatment. Local health authorities say interventions have been taken to prevent further spread of the outbreak.
