48 of the 546 NBA players tested for COVID-19 in the United States have tested positive
On December 2nd local time, the NBA and the National Basketball Players’ Association (NBPA) jointly announced that 546 players were tested for the novel coronavirus during the initial return test phase, of which 48 tested positive for the virus.
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be quarantined until the NBA and NBPA allow them to end their quarantine as prescribed, according to guidance from the CDC.
Over the past week, NBA players have participated in the league-wide market testing program, which begins between November 24 and 30, depending on the date the players of each team return to the team.
