3,151 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Slovakia, new lockdown measures begin to be implemented

December 19, according to the data released by the Slovak Ministry of Health, on December 18, there were 3,151 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, with a total of 149,275 confirmed cases; 70 new deaths were added, with a total of 1,510 deaths.

At present, 106,361 people have recovered, 41,404 confirmed cases have been confirmed, and 2,157 confirmed patients are still hospitalized, including 304 severe patients.

The Slovak government has decided to impose blockade measures from December 19 to January 10 next year. People will be prohibited from leaving the house except for exemptions such as going to work, seeing a doctor, purchasing daily necessities, etc.
