According to India Today, on January 3rd local time, a crematorium in the Ghaziabad area near New Delhi, the capital of India, suddenly collapsed.
According to the local police chief, the death toll caused by the roof collapse of the crematorium in Uttar Pradesh, India, has now risen to 17, and another 38 people have been rescued.
It is understood that the crematorium was holding a funeral at the time of the accident, and most of the casualties were relatives who came to attend the funeral.
The police said that they would thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and severely punish those responsible.
